CORONA VIRUS INFO
Respecting government advice, The Chocolate Tart is accepting workshop group (bubble) bookings for bubbles of up to twelve people.
This will be two groups of six on two separate tables adhering to government guidance.
Respecting the 1m social distancing rule it is only possible to host workshops for voucher holders for up to six people at a time. I am taking workshop bookings from Saturday 1st August.
Anyone with vouchers that have already expired during lockdown or due to expire by 30th June can be assured that their vouchers are currently extended until the end of the year.
I will prioritize 'voucher holders' booking with a guest.
Due to demand I now feel that it is safe and appropriate to offer 'open workshops' for voucher holders. I will make up groups of four - six.
Mixing current voucher holders with new customers will enable me to cover the costs of the voucher holders workshops Please be patient and understanding with this difficult situation. I am relying on voucher holders spreading the word and bringing guests in order that I can take a salary from these sessions!
My business has been crippled since lockdown. I hope that everyone will understand this delicate financial situation.
I cannot offer workshops solely for 'voucher holders' as this would bring no income and obviously each workshop has large costs for my small, Covid19 crippled business.
FACE MASKS and GENERAL NEW RULES
Before entering the workshop you must use the hand sanitiser.
Temperatures are to be checked before access is permitted to the workshop. Refunds will not be offered to anyone trying to attend a workshop with an abnormal temperature.
I will ask each guest to write their name and contact details in a track and trace document to be kept within the workshop.
ALL customers must wear your own face masks.
I will provide three pairs of disposable gloves per person, which if used properly is adequate for any workshop. Any extra gloves used will be charged at 50p per pair.
Please do not bring unnecessary bags, coats or clothing into the workshop.
There is to be absolutely no consumption of chocolate or drinks within the workshop.
There will be no access to toilets, please make yourself comfortable before you arrive.
You take home everything you make, so please look forward to enjoying your packaged goodies as soon as you leave the workshop!
I reserve the right to ask anyone not respecting social distancing or government guidance whilst in my workshop to leave. There will be no refunds in this situation.
ONLINE CHOCOLATES FOR SALE
Since lockdown, I diversified my chocolate school into the production of chocolates to sell online.
During lockdown and presently, this project has fed my family and prevented my business from going bankrupt.
Please respect that in order to put on a workshop I must change my workshop from a production space to a space suitable for you, my customers. After your workshop I cannot offer another workshop or make chocolates for three hours, and then it must be deep cleaned. This impacts greatly on my ability to utilise every possible hour to drive income into my business (like so many other businesses).
Be understanding, patient, and always be kind. This is so difficult for all of us.
We have airbnb customer accommodation above the workshop for two people. I am aware that these guests cannot enter the workshop whilst I am teaching. However please be aware that guests may have passed through the workshop on the same day as your class. All worksurfaces and equipment will be anti-bacterial treated before you enter the workshop. The airbnb is also an income revenue that my family lost due to lockdown. If you would like to stay the night before or after your chocolate workshop we would be delighted to welcome you. (double ensuite, private accommodation above the chocolate workshop, shared access).
You can see what I have on offer in my online shop here www.thechocolatetart.co.uk/shop
I am making fresh chocolates every day (when I do not have a workshop booked in) for collection or local delivery.
Chocolates can be posted anywhere in the UK.
£10. £22.50, £32.50 selection boxes plus £3.95 postage to any UK address
500g slab bars £20.00
ALL SELECTIONS WILL CONTAIN MILK AND NUT PRODUCTS.
Order online www.thechocolatetart.co.uk/shop
DF and VEGAN (POSSIBLY AVAILABLE ON REQUEST)
If you have currently only paid a deposit for your workshop then this is very positive!! Your balance payment will cover any ingredients and packaging costs and staff, and you are welcome to book preferably with a group of four or five people. Otherwise, I will try to make a group of 'random people' but this is obviously at your risk that your group behaves responsibly and safely. Leaving a class because you do not feel safe does not incur a refund. I hope that you understand this delicate situation.
Sending so much love to all of you for supporting my little chocolate business 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you to all of my lovely customers who have ordered chocolate gifts during this time of isolation. Your suport is genuinely feeding my family.
